REFLECT

Take time to read about our Lord’s death on the cross in the Scriptures. You can find the story in Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, and John 18-19.

Take time to reflect on your sins that led Jesus to the cross. You can reflect on the 10 Commandments found in Exodus 20. If you have your catechism with you, you can contemplate the Commandments and their explanations.

CONNECT

Yesterday, you prayed for your inner circle. Today, connect in prayer for the people you know who are unchurched or have gotten away from the church.

• Pray that this year they would hear the story of Christ’s death on the cross for them as never before.
• Pray that they would come to know the reality of their sins and the love of their Savior who died and rose for them.
• Don’t pray merely that they would go to church. Pray that they are so in love with Jesus that they couldn’t imagine anything else!
• Pray for your ongoing witness to them and the faith conversations that you will be having with them.
