Remembering Who You Are in Christ

Who is God?
Father: Creator; Preserver; Provider; Protector
Son: Jesus Christ; Redeemer; Savior
Holy Spirit: Sanctifier; Brings to Faith; Keeps in Faith
Attributes of God:
God is spirit – He is not limited by space as I am.
God is eternal – His perspective is far beyond my own; He is not bound by time.
God doesn’t change – what comfort that is for those of us who lie in a world where everything seems to be changing.
God is almighty, all-powerful – He can do anything; He can also undo anything, bringing good out of evil.
God knows everything – that means while He knows the sins of my past and present, He also knows the potential I have through the gifts and abilities He has given me!
God is present everywhere – He is always with me!
He is wholly holy and imparts His holiness to me by grace!
He is just – I can count on Him to do the right thing; His will for my life is right.
He is always faithful – I can count on His promises!
He is good – His plan for my life is good; He even brings good out of what was intended as evil!
He is merciful – He does not give me what I deserve; instead, because…
He is gracious, He gives me what I do not deserve!
He is love – He loves me unconditionally; He loved me enough to die for me!
My life is a contrast to His. But by His grace, I, as the Spirit works in me, can begin to reflect His image to others.
O Come Let Us Adore Him

- The Alpha and Omega
- Omnipotent, Almighty
- Omniscient, knowing all things
- Transcendent, Present with us
- Holy, Just, and Faithful
- Merciful and Gracious
- Loving Lord and Savior
- For You alone are worthy… Christ, the Lord
