HOPE for Today

Psalm 42:5
“Why are you so downcast, O my soul? Why are you so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”

When the circumstances of life overwhelm us, it can weigh upon our souls. We find ourselves downcast and discouraged. Even our gaze is downward — at our feet. In those moments, which are indeed disturbing to us, we can instead look upward to God. When we look at our problems, they look so BIG. But God is the One who made the mountains. Don’t tell Him how big your problems are, tell them how BIG your God is! In Him you will find hope.

What opportunities will the Lord give you today to share His hope with others?

Now with your mind refreshed and renewed and with a song in your heart, go forth to serve the Lord with gladness in the vocations He has given you. Go in peace. Go with hope. The Lord is with you!
